Now, whenever you walk into the doors of First in Flight Athletics, you are setting foot inside our beloved Daniel’s dream-come-true. When he’s not living his dream job, Daniel can be found bugging his wife Allison, eating and eating some more, and being spontaneous as life allows (beach, anyone?). Never wonder who he is—he’s going to meet you when you walk in—and he prides himself on making himself available to us all, no matter the need. Stop by and tell him your goals!

ALLISON MONTERO

Allison Montero is the wife of Daniel and co-owner of First in Flight Athletics and Fitness Collab. With her Bachelor's in Public Heath, Allie has been involved in Health and Wellness for over 10 years. You will find her coaching all styles of classes at both locations, coaching individuals through personal training, and helping clients reach their full potential through nutritional counseling. She is a big lover of local food and the great outdoors. She enjoys hiking and spending time with Daniel, their son Lennox, and their gym pup Basil. She's brains, brawn, and beauty and thinks helping the community become a healthier, stronger version of themselves is icing on the cake.
Grant
LV1-Trainer
Grant is a Navy Veteran who began coaching in 2017. His passion is motivating and helping others achieve their fitness goals. He is excited to be able to spread his knowledge with members at First in Flight Athletics and Fitness Collab.
KATIE
LV1-Trainer
Katie has been coaching CrossFit since 2018 and a member of FIF since 2021. A swimmer from a young age, she was fortunate to attend university as a Division I scholarship athlete where she competed and captained her team to numerous conference championships and dual meet victories. After graduating in 2014 she tried her first CrossFit class and found an awesome new world of challenges and fitness. With her background in swimming and strength and conditioning she immediately loved the feeling of community and camaraderie that being in a CrossFit gym brings.
As a coach Kaite strongly believes that CrossFit is for anyone and that no matter your background or ability there is a scale and opportunity for success in everyone. She views that fitness is for life and trying new things or pushing yourself to set new goals is a great way to keep yourself motivated in life and the gym.
Katie can mostly be found lifting heavy at the gym, trying new recipes in the kitchen, or hanging out with her dogs on the back porch—she even invites her husband sometimes too.
Tara Boulton
Event Coordinator
Tara Boulton gets to combine her love for Functional Fitness + creative mind in the role of Event Coordinator/ Manager for First in Flight Athletics. She grew up on the sidelines of the baseball field but always felt she lacked the athletic ability to join in. That is until 2017 when she began Functional Fitness with Daniel as her Coach from day one. Functional Fitness was a way to connect with her family and get active, but quickly became a place for friendship, community, and personal development. Tara enjoys being in nature, especially the mountains, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
